| Wall Suspension is an alternative to mounting a unit from the ceiling. It still uses wire, however a bracket is needed. | |||||||

Halide Lighing normally uses this approach when there is either no access to the ceiling beams or the material above is plasterboard. bastically to mount a unit on the wall you will need a wire kit AND a bracket kit. A bracket kit is bastically a large metal L with holes placed for bolts and wire fittings. How to fit a Halide Aquarium Bracket A bracket is normally 1m long on its largest side (allows more contact with the wall) this has at least 2 holes for bolts. This is the backbone of the system and has to be VERY secure! Only fit a bracket where the ball is either brick or there is a wooden joist behind the plasterboard. Please do NOT place anything of weight on plasterboard, you will regret it. |

Fit onto a Brick Wall Buy heavy duty Bolts or anchors, and drill holes where the instructions state on your maunal. Inject No More Nails adhesive into the hole and then insert the bolt through the bracket and into the hole. Tighten and leave for 48 hours. (No more nails will set around the bolt and secure it in place. Please note you will have alot of trouble removing this so choose your position carefully) Click here for a descrption of anchor fixings. |
